Forks Over Knives

A new documentary Forks Over Knives is due to release starting May 6th in select North American cities. I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie as it directly addresses the health benefits of a vegan diet. It examines the claim that most, if not all, of the so-called “diseases of affluence” that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods in favor of a plant-based diet.

The main interviews are with T. Colin Campbell (author of The China Study) and Caldwell B. Esselstyn (author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease). There is also a professional appearance from John McDougall (author of The McDougall Plan) among others.

i live in oklahoma. we must be the fast food capital of the world and have the obesity stats to show it, just like most of the south central/south. and yet it is being shown in all the other metropolitan areas. too bad. i have been vegan for 10 months and no longer need open heart surgery. not to mention the most important thing of all…. the way i can eat, knowing i am not contributing to the horrific suffering of living, feeling, creatures who know agony and fear and pain just as we do. thanks for your site. it’s important.

Wow, that trailer was thought provoking. I wish Fork Over Knives was being shown in the U.K, it would not make people change their diet, but may encorage them to incorporate more vegetables in their diet after seeing the health benefits.
